Membership Requirements
Border Collie owners of good moral character are eligible for membership in the International Border Collie
Association. Persons wishing to register a dog or dogs must first become members. Transfers of ownership will
be processed so long as either the new owner or the previous owner or the breeder is a member.
The I.B.C.A. is an association to register Border Collies and pure breed herding dogs. We are dedicated to preserve
and protect the right to own and breed pedigree dogs. The I.B.C.A. recognizes several other registration services, ABCA, CBCA,
AWBC, ISDS, AIBC, and NSDR.
I
have an IBCA registered dog and an AKC or ABCA, etc. registered dog. Can I breed them and register?
IBCA
accepts all registrations listed on our homepage including AKC as long as the breeder/owner is in good standing. Dual registration
with any litters produced may than be registered with IBCA.
Dual
registration does not remove the current registration; it merely means the dog is now registered with another registry as
well.
I
have an International Border Collie Association, Inc. Registration Application.
Simply
fill out your Registration Application. Include the name of your dog, the colors of your dog, and the gender of your
dog on the front of the form. Then, fill in your personal information, such as name, address, and telephone number. If there
is a co-owner, fill in his or her name (there is no additional charge for a co-owner).
Sign
the form and if applicable, have the co-owner sign the form.
You
can mail your registration to the address listed on the form, or you can fax it directly to the IBCA registration department.

we receive your registration application in the mail, it will be processed and back out in the mail to you within 7 working,
processing days. However, if you fax it through our toll free 800 number, your registration is processed within 24 hours.
